The SlopeIntercept Form of a Linear Equation
In this lesson you will learn how to graph a linear equation by using the slopeintercept form. Double click the play button to start the video.
SlopeIntercept Formula
y = mx + b
where m = slope and b = yintercept
Strategy:
First, identify the slope and the yintercept.
Then, locate the yintercept on the yaxis.
Graph another point by using the slope's numerator and denominator.
Finally, connect the two points to create the graph.
