TREVOR IS AWESOME

by TREVOR
(FOLSOM)

A car travels 125 miles in 3 hours. How far would it travel in 5 hours at this speed?

Solution:

Let d = the distance that we are looking for

We can set-up the following proportion:

125/3 = d/5
3d = 125 X 5
3d = 625
d = 625/3
d = 208.3 miles
